About the Game
Truco is the most popular trick-taking card game in Argentina. This game is designed to bring the excitement and strategy of Truco right to your fingertips. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer, Truco Argentino offers a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Gameplay Overview
The objective of Truco is to be the first to reach a set number of points, which can range from 10 to 40. You can play solo or form teams of two or three players, accommodating up to six players in total. In the six-player mode, you have the option to play head-to-head or join forces as a team. Each participant is dealt three cards, and the player who plays the highest card wins the trick. The winner of the round is determined by winning two out of three tricks. Points are awarded based on the agreed-upon "cantos," "toques," or "gritos."
Game Mechanics
- Cantos: These include "Flor," "Contraflor," and "Contraflor al Resto."
- Toques: These involve "Envido," "Real Envido," and "Falta Envido."
- Gritos: These are "Truco," "Retruco," and "Vale 4."
Card Values
- Commons: 4, 5, 6, 7.
- Black Cards: 10, 11, 12.
- Cartas Bravas: 1, 2, 3, 7 of coins, 7 of swords, 1 of clubs, 1 of swords.
Scoring for Envido or Flor
For the envido or flor, the cards are worth their face value, except for 10, 11, and 12, which are considered zero. If you have two cards of the same suit, an additional 20 points are awarded.
Additional Features
You can peek at your partner's cards by clicking on them. Additionally, you have the flexibility to play with or without the flor feature.
