Introduction

The TRI is the application of the TRI Card, which is the collective transport system for Porto Alegre. This application is designed to make your experience with public transportation in Porto Alegre more convenient and efficient.

Key Features

With the TRI application, you can:

• Buy Credit: Purchase advance tickets or school tickets using either a ticket or credit card. After completing the payment, the card will be credited within two business days. In rare cases, this period may extend to four business days. However, the app will inform you when the credits are available.

• Check Balance: View the current balance on your card. The available balance is displayed based on the last operation reported by the system.

• Check Last Uses: Review the last 10 uses of your card. You can see the date, time, the company operating the line, the bus prefix, and the amount deducted.

• Request New Route or Cancellation: You can request the cancellation of your card and a new copy. To ensure safety, you'll need to confirm some details, but the process is quick and straightforward. The request protocol will be sent to your email.

• Update Contact Information: Keep your contact details up-to-date so TRI can reach out to you if needed. This ensures you stay informed about all services and news related to the system.

• GPS Functionality: Utilize the GPS feature to get real-time updates on bus arrivals and track collective routes. Mark your favorite bus stops and lines, and view all lines passing through each stop along with estimated travel times. Note that this feature redirects you to an external application containing all the necessary information.

News and Updates

As of December 15, 2018, the TRI app has undergone significant improvements, making it even more intuitive and user-friendly. One of the most notable additions is the GPS function, which greatly enhances navigation within the public transportation network of Porto Alegre. This feature allows you to monitor the expected arrival of buses in real-time, providing you with valuable information about lines and itineraries.
