Description of the BPOL Application

The BPOL application is designed to offer a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for fans of the popular Italian card game, Briscola. This application supports multiple variants of the game, each with its unique rules and gameplay styles.

Variants Supported:

• Giro Morto (Dead Round): A variant widely spread in Eastern Sicily. In this version, players start with 7 cards each, and the first round is played without any briscola cards. This round is referred to as the "Giro Morto."

• Monte Edition: Another popular variant predominantly found in the rest of Sicily. Here, players are dealt 7 cards, but 5 cards are placed face down in the center of the table, known as the "Monte." Players can draw from this pile during the game.

• Chiamata Classic: This variant is common throughout Southern Italy and involves distributing all the cards among the players. The term "Chiamata" refers to the call made by players to declare their trump suit at the beginning of the game.

• Chiama Due: Widely played in Northern Italy, this variant uses all 40 cards. One distinctive feature of this variant is the order of calling; players must first declare the trump card they will be using, followed by stating the target score they aim to achieve.
