Dive into the heart-pounding action of "Trenches of War," an exhilarating side-scrolling strategy game set against the backdrop of World War I. Navigate through the treacherous terrain of the Alps, battling across rivers that swell with rain, capturing key locations like trenches, barracks, and factories. Each move you make could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Gameplay Mechanics:
In this immersive game, your objective is to lead your troops across the battlefield and breach the enemy's encampment. Achieving this requires meticulous planning and strategic execution. Units are recruited and controlled via buttons at the bottom of the screen. Press the rightmost button to advance three troops to the next trench, while the leftmost button halts their advance. Soldiers, flamethrowers, and tanks can push forward into enemy territory, whereas snipers and artillery units advance only after claiming a trench. Unlock elite units by pressing and sliding up on the Sniper, Tank, and Artillery buttons.

Resources and Progression:
Money flows in gradually, but additional rewards are granted for eliminating enemies, securing trenches, and collecting crates that fall into your territory. Defeating foes contributes to a power meter that, once full, grants a temporary speed boost or immunity. Your score multiplier in the top-right corner enhances both money rewards and power gain.

Environmental Challenges:
Cornfields temporarily blind basic infantry, offering a tactical advantage as they traverse these areas. Rivers present a unique challenge, slowing soldiers to 75% of their normal speed under sunny conditions and a mere 33% during rainfall. Over time, trenches upgrade to include barbed wire, enhancing their defensive capabilities. Capture barracks and factories to spawn units closer to the frontline, streamlining your offensive efforts.
