About FFT Explorer
FFT Explorer - Interactive Wave Generation and FFT Visualization
The FFT Explorer application provides a comprehensive tool for generating and analyzing dual sine, triangle, and square waves, along with their composite Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). This powerful application allows users to interactively create two independent waves, each with a cycle count ranging from 1 to 60 and a phase angle between 0 and 2π radians.
The interface features four distinct graphs that visualize different aspects of the generated waves and their composite:
- Wave A: Displays the first independent wave.
- Wave B: Shows the second independent wave.
- Composite Sum: Illustrates the combined waveform of Wave A and Wave B.
- FFT of Composite: Provides the frequency domain representation of the combined waveform.
Users can manipulate various parameters to customize the waveforms:
- Wave A Cycles and Phase: Adjust the number of cycles and phase shift for Wave A.
- Wave B Cycles and Phase: Modify the number of cycles and phase shift for Wave B.
- Wave Type Selection: Choose between sine, triangle, and square waves for both Wave A and Wave B.
All graphs are highly interactive and update in real-time as the user modifies these parameters. This feature enables immediate visualization of how changes in cycles, phase, and wave type affect the resulting composite waveform and its FFT.
Overall, FFT Explorer serves as an excellent educational and practical tool for anyone interested in understanding the interaction between different waveforms and their spectral characteristics.
