Classic Words Solo

This is the best scrabble game I've found. I'm embarrassed to admit that I can only beat it at the 'hard' setting half the time and am too scared to try the next level.

Classic Words Solo is as good as a 'Scrabble' game gets in my opinion. I recently wrote negative reviews for two versions of EA's 'Scrabble', but Classic Words Solo stands out without those annoying issues. It doesn't question odd English words because it uses an English dictionary instead of an American one. I enjoy playing this app and plan to keep using it. However, there are a few minor issues preventing a full five-star rating. The orange tiles with white text and the computer's light blue tiles with white text are somewhat jarring; perhaps a designer could help with that. Additionally, the bottom zone on my smartphone is poorly positioned, making it difficult to see the number of tiles, scores, and buttons, especially near the end of the game, which affects strategy.

Classic Words Solo is a lot of fun! However, I can't update it on my Kindle Fire HDX. It says the package (update) already exists but the signature isn't valid. I'm still using the 2015 SOWPODS dictionary. I would give it five stars if I could update it.

I would have given it a perfect score if it had a multiplayer option.

Classic Words Solo is seriously ugly and lacks many features. It frequently plays very obscure words, even when the 'rare words' option is turned off.
