About 匈牙利新导报
The Hungarian New Herald was established in April 2000 and is a weekly publication that comes out every Wednesday. This newspaper is distributed free of charge throughout Hungary and neighboring countries, featuring 44 to 52 pages per issue. Its primary mission is to provide comprehensive information to the local Chinese community, including news, travel, leisure, fashion, entertainment, and more.
With a focus on local Chinese community news and extensive coverage of political, economic, and social events in Hungary, the New Herald has cultivated a broad readership and significant influence in the region. The newspaper stands out with its lively and engaging layout, complemented by high-quality images. It is the only Asian (or ethnic) media outlet in Hungary that frequently participates in interviews and reporting on national and governmental events.
The New Herald maintains excellent relationships with various Hungarian institutions such as the Presidential Office, Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, National Police Headquarters, and the Journalists' Association. Through these connections, it provides timely updates on Hungary's political, economic, cultural, and social dynamics to the Chinese community.
In addition to its journalistic efforts, the New Herald actively organizes and participates in Sino-Hungarian cultural exchange activities and community welfare projects. For instance, the newspaper has significantly promoted and supported initiatives like commemorating the "September 18th Incident," organizing free medical consultations by Chinese doctors, and hosting the Chinese New Year Art Festival. It not only provides extensive coverage but also offers substantial support through volunteer work and other means.
