Altyazı is an independent film magazine based in Turkey, founded in 2001 by a group of friends studying at Boğaziçi University. Published monthly since October 2001, Altyazı has developed a publishing philosophy that emphasizes film criticism and analysis. The magazine started its journey in 2001 with the support of the photography magazine Geniş Açı. In 2003, Altyazı became part of the Mithat Alam Film Center at Boğaziçi University, and since then, it has been published under the university's name. Its distribution now covers the entire country, making it accessible to a wide audience.
