About طبقات اعلام الشيعة
This electronic application is designed for individuals eager to explore the scholars and notable figures of the Shia sect in the most efficient manner.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,
With the advent of technological advancements becoming an essential part of daily life, it became imperative for those possessing scientific and scholarly knowledge to adapt to modernity and global cultural shifts. This was crucial for preserving their heritage while ensuring easy access and reaching a broader audience. The Heritage Revival Center at al-Abbas's alternatives took up this challenge, recognizing the significance of this resource and the need to enhance its accessibility despite limited previous efforts.
We have thus developed this valuable application, aimed at serving both specialists and enthusiasts of heritage. It aims to provide a knowledge interface for understanding the scholars of the true Shia sect and their contributions, facilitating quick searches and explorations.
The application includes the book in three distinct formats:
- Text Format: A version closely aligned with the original publication.
- Digital Book: A digitized version of the printed book.
- Manuscript Copy: An exclusive feature providing the manuscript copy written by the author himself, allowing verification and correction of potential typographical errors.
This straightforward yet comprehensive application offers numerous advantages for researchers:
- Separate Reading Options: Users can read each version of the book independently.
- Advanced Search Capabilities: Both normal and advanced search options are available for the entire encyclopedia or specific sections.
- Text Sharing and Copying: Text can be copied or shared easily.
- Printable Pages: Users can print pages in all three formats.
- Dual Window Viewing: Two windows can be opened simultaneously—one for the text and another for the printed version—with adjustable window sizes and linking capabilities.
- Index of Translators: An index of translators’ names within each volume and across the entire encyclopedia, searchable.
- Favorites Feature: Any page can be added to favorites in all three formats.
- Commenting: Notes and comments can be inserted for any page in the notes field for all formats.
In conclusion, we present this application to our esteemed users with profound gratitude to all contributors and hardworking scholars involved, especially the late Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani, whose efforts in typesetting, interviewing, and printing have been instrumental. We also acknowledge the diligent work of our brothers in developing this application, praying for their best rewards.
