Bully: Anniversary Edition Is APKHub’s Hottest Game Right Now

Over the last 30 days, Bully: Anniversary Edition has been the most-opened game on APKHub — ahead of live-service shooters, football sims, and even other Rockstar classics. That is not a nostalgia blip. Players are actually loading Bullworth Academy, walking the halls, and finishing the year.

If you only know Rockstar from Grand Theft Auto, this is the studio’s other great sandbox: a full story about surviving the worst prep school in the state, rebuilt for phones with extra missions, classroom mini-games, and touch controls that no longer fight you.

A year at Bullworth, not a mobile time-killer

You play as Jimmy Hopkins, dumped at Bullworth Academy for a year while the adults in his life look the other way. The school is a small open world: dorms, classrooms, the gym, the library, the town beyond the gates. Cliques run the place — jocks, preppies, greasers, nerds, townies — and Jimmy has to learn when to fight, when to prank, and when to show up for class.

That last part matters. Bully is funny and mean, but it is also a schedule. You go to Chemistry, Gym, English, and Biology because the classes are missions. Dodge ball, frog dissection, and word problems are not loading-screen jokes; they are how you raise stats and unlock new ways to move through campus.

The Anniversary Edition includes the complete story plus everything that shipped in Bully: Scholarship Edition: extra missions, extra characters, extra classroom games, and extra unlocks. You are not getting a cut-down mobile sample. You are getting the full year.

Why it is spiking now

The mobile port is not new — Rockstar and War Drum Studios shipped it in December 2016 for the game’s tenth anniversary — but the last year has made it easier to actually finish.

In May 2025, Rockstar added Bully: Anniversary Edition to the GTA+ Games Library, which put the title back in front of people who already live in the Rockstar launcher. Through 2025 and into January 2026 the studio kept patching Android and iOS: camera stability, haptic feedback, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion on supported devices, Bluetooth controller fixes, cloud-save crashes, and Play Asset Delivery stalls. The January 21, 2026 Android build (v1.4.311) specifically fixed a crash while downloading game assets.

That combination — a complete single-player story, a fresh reminder from GTA+, and a port that no longer falls over on modern phones — is exactly the kind of thing APKHub traffic rewards. People search, install, and come back.

Anniversary Edition extras: full story, Friend Challenges, cloud saves, and controller support

How it plays on a phone

The original Bully was a stick-and-camera game. The Anniversary Edition was rebuilt around touch:

  • Contextual on-screen buttons that appear only when you can punch, interact, or aim
  • High-resolution textures, dynamic lighting, shadows, and particle effects
  • Native support for high-density displays
  • Optional physical controllers
  • Cloud saves through the Rockstar Games Social Club, so you can hop devices without losing the school year

It still helps to treat it like a console game: landscape, both thumbs, and a little patience in crowded courtyards. If you have a Bluetooth pad, use it. The campus is small enough that touch works; the camera is happier with a stick.

Friend Challenges and the classroom loop

The mobile exclusive layer is Friend Challenges — turn-based classroom and arcade mini-games you can throw at someone else. Biology is a race to dissect the frog. English is word problems. Nut Shots is a flying-squirrel shooter. You play your turn, close the phone, and get a notification when it is yours again.

Even if you never challenge a friend, the single-player classroom games are the heartbeat of a weekday at Bullworth. They break up the fights and the pranks, and they are why a “short session” often turns into one more class period.

Note: Rockstar temporarily disabled Friends Challenges in a March 2025 build while investigating issues. If that mode is missing on your install, the full story and the local classroom games still run.

Who this download is for

Bully: Anniversary Edition is a good APKHub install if you want:

  • A finished Rockstar story you can complete offline once the assets are in
  • A sandbox smaller and denser than San Andreas, with a schedule instead of a wanted star
  • Controller support and cloud saves instead of a live-service battle pass

It is a bad fit if you want 10-minute arena matches, licensed football clubs, or a kids’ school sim. The satire is adult even though the campus is a school. Play it for the writing, the cliques, and the way a single courtyard can hold a whole social war.

If that is the game you have been meaning to finish on a commute, this is the build to grab — and right now, it is the one APKHub players are opening most.
