The "Conversation Moderator" application is designed to analyze conversations in real-time and provide a detailed scrollable timeline that shows who spoke and when during the conversation. This innovative tool simplifies the process of tracking participation and engagement in group discussions.

How It Works

The app operates seamlessly on your device by analyzing the conversation directly through your microphone. Leveraging advanced machine learning principles, it identifies individual speakers and timestamps their contributions without any additional input required from you. After the conversation ends, the app generates an analysis report that includes the total speaking time for each participant. Additionally, it offers a scrollable piano plot, which visually represents the dynamics and flow of the conversation, making it easier to understand the interaction patterns among participants.

Development Details

This app is a prototype developed by students under the guidance of Dr. Ting Xiao in the Computer Science department at Loyola University Chicago. The initial development was carried out by Marcos Leal and Edgard Oliveira. Subsequent enhancements were made by Albert Du, and the final development and deployment were handled by Rejoice Jebamalaidass. The app primarily utilizes the LIUM package for speaker diarization, ensuring accurate and reliable analysis of audio signals.
