It simplifies your news consumption experience by aggregating information from multiple sources, ensuring that you get a chronological and organized feed of news.

Features

Free and Easy Setup

The application is entirely free, without ads or registration requirements. During the initial setup, you can customize your preferred language and select topics like sports, motors, travel, music, and more.

Customizable Sources

You can add other sites by searching for their RSS/ATOM feed addresses or by selecting from a list of popular and recommended sources. If a site doesn’t support RSS/ATOM, you can use its Google News address instead.

User-Friendly Layout

News is displayed in a scrollable list by default. Alternatively, you can view each article on a separate page with an accompanying image, title, and description.

Privacy and Security

Your privacy is paramount. The app saves preferences locally, eliminating the need for an email or account. No data is stored elsewhere, ensuring your information remains secure.

• Sharing: Easily share news with others using "Copy Link" and "Share."
• Offline Access: View previously downloaded content even without an internet connection.

Technical Details

• Technologies Used: Developed using Dart and the Flutter framework, with a design adhering to Material Design 3.
• Optimization: Built to use minimal internet, loading thousands of news items in just a few MB by focusing on textual data. The cache is utilized and automatically cleared after a few hours to minimize network requests. Old articles are automatically deleted.
• Performance: Loads hundreds of sites in a few seconds, with network requests made in parallel. Offline sites are ignored, and there’s a maximum connection time for slower connections.
• Battery Efficiency: The app consumes no additional battery once closed by the user, thanks to the absence of background processes, syncs, and notifications.

Migrations and Alternatives

You can easily transfer feeds to other devices or migrate from other RSS readers using OPML import/export. Aggregator News stands as an alternative to popular platforms such as FEEDLY, FLIPBOARD, GOOGLE NEWS, and many others.
