The course maintains its original layout but has been upgraded to offer premier playing surfaces. Utilizing the finest grasses available—L1F Zoysia Greens, Zeon Zoysia Tees, and Jamur Zoysia for the fairways—the club ensures that members and guests enjoy the same quality as the most exclusive golf courses worldwide.

In fact, The Golf Club of Texas is the only golf course in the United States that boasts 100% Zoysia grass from tee to green. The practice facility has also been expanded to include two dedicated putting greens, complemented by a short game scoring practice area, all featuring real Zoysia grass.
