Seven Castles: A Multiplayer Board Game Experience

"Seven Castles" is an engaging multiplayer online board game inspired by the classic strategy game Carcassonne. Players compete in real-time, building castles, roads, or cloisters by strategically placing tiles on a shared board. Points are awarded whenever a castle, road, or cloister is completed, provided that a player has placed their follower on the structure.

Getting Started

To begin your gaming journey, you can log in using either your Gmail address or your Facebook account. With Gmail login, the user name portion of your Gmail address will be displayed within the game. On the other hand, logging in with Facebook will display your Facebook name. After a successful login, you'll find yourself in the Lobby area where you can see a list of currently online users and ongoing games. Here, you have the option to invite others to play or join an existing unlocked game. If you're new to the game, we recommend starting with a demo game to familiarize yourself with the mechanics.

Game Modes and Expansions

"Seven Castles" offers a variety of game modes, including classic games based on the Carcassonne board game and unique castle-building games. Each mode comes with different tile counts, meeples, and additional features:

Classic Games

• Mini Game: 35 tiles, 5 meeples
• Base Game: 72 tiles, 7 meeples
• Expansion 1 - Inns and Cathedrals: 90 tiles, 7 meeples, 1 giant
• Double Base Game: 144 tiles, 10 meeples
• Double Expansion 1: 180 tiles, 10 meeples, 2 giants
• Expansion 2 - Traders and Builders: 96 tiles, 7 meeples, 1 builder, 1 pig

Castle Games

• Castles Mini: 37 tiles, 5 meeples
• Castles: 70 tiles, 7 meeples
• CastlesPlus: 100 tiles, 9 meeples
• Double Castles: 140 tiles, 10 meeples

Players can purchase credits via Google Play to unlock larger game modes. Credits are only deducted upon completion of a game, ensuring fair play even if the game owner leaves early.

How to Play

Playing "Seven Castles" is straightforward yet strategic. Place your tile to match the existing ones, rotate it using the rotate button, and place one of your followers on the tile by clicking a red circle. Click 'Submit', and the program will alert you if the placement is incorrect or if the entity is already occupied. Completing an entity awards you points, and your followers are returned to your pool.

Scoring System

The game automatically calculates scores based on the following rules:

• Points are awarded during the game for completed castles, roads, or cloisters.
• Completed castles yield 2 points per tile and 2 points per pennant.
• Roads earn 1 point per tile.
• Cloisters score 9 points when fully surrounded.
• At the end of the game, points are also awarded for fields based on completed castles bordering your field, and for uncompleted structures.
