The Data Linker Server application is a versatile tool designed to convert Bluetooth data into the widely recognized NMEA 0183 format and share it over TCP connections. This application acts as a bridge between your Bluetooth devices and systems that require NMEA 0183 data streams.

Key Features

• Data Conversion: The app reads raw data from the SailRacer.net DataLinker interface box and converts it into an NMEA 0183 stream.
• TCP Sharing: Once converted, this NMEA stream is shared via TCP, making it accessible to various systems and applications that support TCP connections.
• Bluetooth Configuration: Additionally, it serves as a configuration tool for your DataLinker Bluetooth device, allowing you to manage settings directly through the app.

Supported NMEA Sentences

The following NMEA 0183 sentences are supported by the application:

• RMC (Recommended Minimum Navigation Information): Provides time, location, speed over ground (SOG), and course over ground (COG).
• VHW (Water Speed and Heading): Offers compass heading and boat speed. If boat speed is unavailable, sentences like HDM (Magnetic Heading) or HDT (True Heading) will be provided instead.
• MWV or MWD (Wind Data): Sends wind-related information.
• DPT (Depth Below Keel): Reports depth measurements.
• XDR (Transducer Measurements): Outputs battery voltage readings in the format XDR,U,x.x,V,,.
