NZTD Application Description

The New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) application streamlines your arrival process in Aotearoa New Zealand. Before embarking on your journey, complete your traveller declaration to ensure a smooth entry experience. You can submit your declaration up to 24 hours prior to your departure.

Key Features and Process

Completing your NZTD takes approximately 10 minutes and requires responses in English. You have the flexibility to update your declaration anytime until you reach the border in New Zealand. The declaration prompts you to provide essential information such as your passport details, contact information, flight details, immigration status (if applicable), recent travel history, and items you plan to bring into the country, including those in your carry-on and checked-in luggage.

User-Friendly Interface

The NZTD app offers several user-friendly features to simplify the process:

• Passport Scanning: Easily scan your passport to populate your personal details.
• Multiple Declarations: Add and complete multiple declarations, making it convenient to manage declarations for family members or group travelers.
• Offline Mode: Utilize offline mode to enter information during your flight or when you're out of WiFi or data range. However, you must be online to initiate or submit a declaration.

Seamless Border Experience

After submitting your NZTD, no further action is required from your end. There's no need to print documents or display a QR code. Upon reaching the border, your NZTD will automatically appear when your passport is scanned, ensuring a hassle-free entry process.
