Outpost Mobile is a powerful application that leverages your smartphone camera to securely stream content to a robust Airship Server. This app ensures that your recordings are both secure and accessible, making it ideal for various applications where reliable and confidential video streaming is essential.

Key Features

Outpost Mobile supports live streaming to the Airship Server in two formats: H.265 (Tactical) and H.264 (Interview). The app also includes compressed audio recording and streaming capabilities, enhancing the quality of your videos. Additionally, you can adjust live-stream settings, including frame rate, output resolution, bitrate, and optional recording options, ensuring that you can customize your experience according to your specific needs.

Facial Recognition

Facial recognition capabilities are available if integrated with the Emergency Management System (EMS), adding another layer of security and utility to your recordings.

Modes of Operation

Interview Mode

In Interview mode, Outpost Mobile records metadata like names, locations, and descriptions relevant to the interview. These sessions can be uploaded after the session and viewed through the Video Portal’s hosted clips list. This mode also supports live streaming during the session, accessible via Nexus Client, Video Portal, or Nexus Mobile.

Tactical Mode

Tactical mode is the classic live-streaming option that records to a case, accessible from any client, including Nexus Client, Video Portal, or Nexus Mobile. High-resolution downloads are available through Nexus Client for the duration of the selected period.

Full Feature Set

Outpost Mobile makes use of all available cameras on your phone, including 30 FPS capture with full video and zoom capabilities. The dark mode feature turns off the front video display for discreet recording, regardless of which camera is selected.

Configurable Streaming Options

Users can set default streaming resolutions for all Outpost Mobile live streams to Nexus Client or Video Portal. An adaptive bitrate option monitors incoming packet traffic to the Airship Server, adjusting the bitrate as needed to optimize performance based on bandwidth throughput.
