The Msar Canteen application is designed to streamline the process of ordering food, drinks, and other items within a company. It aims to create a seamless experience for employees to send their orders directly to the service staff, enhancing efficiency and convenience.
User Roles
The application categorizes users into three roles:
- Admins: Have full control over the system, including managing users, adding new items, and overseeing orders.
- Subadmins: Have limited administrative privileges, such as managing specific aspects of the system or assisting with user management.
- Employees: Can place orders, view their order history, and communicate with other users.
Main Features
The application is organized around five primary vectors, each represented by an icon:

Drinks: When users click on the drinks icon, they can browse and select from a list of available beverages. Each drink comes with a price, maximum free order limit, and additional customization options like sugar and extras. Orders placed via this icon are sent to the service staff application, where they can be approved or rejected. Notifications are sent back to the user regarding the status of their order.

Food: Similar to the drinks section, the food icon allows users to view and order food items. The process is identical to that of ordering drinks, ensuring consistency across different categories.

Snacks: This section operates in the same manner as the drinks and food sections, allowing users to choose from a variety of snacks.

Service Request: Clicking this icon sends a direct notification to the service staff, requesting their assistance. This is particularly useful for urgent or special requests that don't fit into the standard categories.

Communication: The communication feature enables users to connect with each other. By clicking on a user’s icon, users can initiate a chat session, facilitating easy communication within the company.
Administrative Controls
As an admin, you have the ability to upgrade user permissions directly from another user’s personal page. This includes the option to promote users to Admin or Subadmin roles. Additionally, admins can manage user accounts, add new items (drinks, snacks, food, or job titles), and view detailed order histories.
For example, admins can delete specific orders along with the associated costs. The system also tracks the number of free orders per user, ensuring that any excess orders are appropriately charged.
User Experience
Users can easily track their orders and communicate with others through a dedicated chat feature accessible from their personal pages. This ensures that users remain informed about their orders and can engage in necessary communications effortlessly.
