The Industrial Chronometer is a versatile and comprehensive tool designed specifically for work load time analysis and line balancing studies in manufacturing and assembly industries.

Features

This powerful application consolidates three essential functions into one intuitive interface, allowing you to analyze workstation times efficiently on a single page. The app is completely free, devoid of any ads or banners, ensuring an uninterrupted user experience.

Time Measurement

Designed to support continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and Lean practices, the Industrial Chronometer enables you to measure cycle times using two types of time units: seconds and hundredths of a minute (Cminute). This dual-unit system simplifies the understanding of work load times. Mathematically, 1 minute equals 60 seconds and is equivalent to 100 HM (hundredths of a minute) or 100 Cminutes.

User Interface

You can control the chronometer using your device’s volume up and down buttons:

1. Select Time Unit: Choose between seconds or Cminutes for your study.
2. Start Stopwatch: Press the Start button or use the Volume Up button to begin timing.
3. Lap Button: Press the Lap button or the Volume Down button to capture the top cycle time.
4. Save Data: After stopping the stopwatch, press the Save button to export your data as an Excel file to your device's Download folder.
5. Reset: Use the Reset button to start a new session.

Note that the Save and Reset buttons are disabled while the stopwatch is running and become enabled only after it has been stopped. The Lap button remains enabled during the stopwatch operation.

Storing Data

To record your data, you need to grant write permissions. Once permissions are granted, you can save your data as an Excel file (with the .xls extension) after stopping the stopwatch.

Sharing Data

Easily share your study results with colleagues using the built-in sharing feature.
