Beam: Your Cultural Companion

Culture is for sharing, and so are emotions! We created an app called Beam to help you organize and share all your cultural recommendations with your friends. Instead of keeping track of everything with phone notes, screenshots, and relying on your (or our) potentially faulty memory, Beam is an app that combines a to-do list with a cultural social network.

When we say "cultural," we mean your favorite movies, TV series, and books. But we're not stopping there – music, podcasts, YouTube channels, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and museums will also be included in the future. Beam is a free app because we believe that culture should be about sharing and creating connections. We strive to be as inclusive as possible so that everyone can enjoy it.

We aim to develop an ethical and useful app that respects you and avoids addiction for the wrong reasons (hello, Silicon Valley social networks). In short, Beam is an app dedicated to culture and your love for it.

Emotions-Based System

Since artists create emotions and don’t expect us to grade their work like in school, we’ve ditched the stars. Instead, we’re developing an emotions-based system to attach to your favorite content. We intend to do things differently and operate with complete transparency. We also want to evolve the product based on your feedback, so we’re counting on you to participate in this co-creation.
