Ibu Sihat is an innovative application designed to support pregnant women in preventing diabetes during pregnancy through various features. This application was developed for research purposes to assess the effectiveness of a web-based and smartphone-based lifestyle program aimed at optimizing weight gain during pregnancy.

Monitoring Weight Gain During Pregnancy

One of the key features of Ibu Sihat is its ability to monitor weight gain during pregnancy. Users can understand the recommended weight gain guidelines and track their weekly weight gain rates. These metrics are visualized using graphs tailored to the user's Body Mass Index (BMI) prior to pregnancy, ensuring that the weight gain stays within the recommended range throughout the pregnancy.

Dietary Intake

Ibu Sihat includes two primary functions related to dietary intake: diet recommendations and diet monitoring. The diet recommendations feature helps expectant mothers determine the appropriate energy intake and the number of servings from each food group per day. Additionally, the diet monitoring function enables users to compare their actual intake against the recommended guidelines, promoting healthier eating habits.

Health and Nutrition Education

The application offers comprehensive health and nutrition education covering four main areas: Weight Gain, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Psychosocial Health during pregnancy. These educational materials are provided in the form of articles, infographics, and videos, empowering mothers to make informed decisions that contribute to optimal weight gain and overall maternal and fetal health.

Data Collection

Ibu Sihat also facilitates data collection through five questionnaires: sociodemographic, obstetric, and trimester-specific questionnaires for each trimester of pregnancy. This data collection process helps researchers gather valuable insights into the effectiveness of the program and provides personalized feedback to users.
