UDYAMI

The UDYAMI application serves as an integral part of the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program, overseen by the Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC). Established in 1956 under Act No.61 of the Parliament, KVIC was later amended by Act No.12 of 1987 and Act No.10 of 2006. As a statutory body under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) within the Government of India, KVIC is committed to promoting and developing Khadi and Village Industries (KVI).

These industries play a crucial role in providing much-needed employment opportunities in rural areas, thereby bolstering the rural economy. Recognized as a key player in the decentralized sector, KVIC focuses on creating sustainable non-farm employment opportunities with minimal per capita investment. The organization undertakes various initiatives such as skill enhancement programs, technology transfer, research and development, and marketing support.
