EO Ignite 2019: A Gathering of Minds

EO Ignite 2019 represents the pinnacle of collaboration and innovation within the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) South African chapters. Initiated in 2012 by Mark Levy, a dedicated member of EO Johannesburg, Ignite was designed to foster interaction, networking, and business promotion among its participants. Despite EO's policy of non-solicitation, Ignite provided a unique platform for members to connect, share ideas, and promote their ventures in a dynamic and engaging environment.

The inaugural Ignite event took place in Durban, marking the beginning of what would become an annual tradition. This inaugural event was structured around a single evening, featuring an array of stimulating activities including TED-style presentations, speed networking sessions, and thought-provoking discussions. These elements were carefully curated to ensure attendees had the opportunity to make meaningful connections while learning from the diverse experiences and insights shared by their peers.

The resounding success of the first Ignite led to its rapid adoption as an annual fixture within the EO calendar. The growing enthusiasm and participation from EO members across South Africa underscored the value of Ignite as a platform for fostering community, driving personal growth, and enhancing professional relationships.
