At its core, iM Guide leverages advanced technology to provide seamless navigation both indoors and outdoors. Indoor navigation utilizes cutting-edge techniques to help visitors locate specific exhibits within the museum premises. Meanwhile, the integration of Global Positioning System (GPS) ensures that users can easily find amenities like restrooms and baby care rooms, as well as other important facilities. Currently, iM Guide is operational at several prominent institutions in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, and the Hong Kong Railway Museum. Additionally, it serves as a guide for 16 key locations along the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail, offering detailed introductions and historical context. These diverse offerings cater to a wide range of interests, from scientific discoveries to significant moments in Chinese history.

Looking ahead, iM Guide aims to expand its reach by providing services to all museums under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
