Cat and Wall: A Strategic Board Game for Two Players

Overview

Cat and Wall is a simple yet engaging board game application inspired by Quoridor but tailored for cat enthusiasts! This game is designed for two players who will compete against each other to see who can navigate their feline character across the board first.

How to Play

Game Setup

The game board measures 7x7 squares.
Each player begins with a cat positioned at the center of one side of the board.
Additionally, each player has 8 walls that they can strategically place during the game.

Objective

The primary objective is to maneuver your cat to the opposite side of the board before your opponent does.

Turn Mechanics

During each turn, a player can choose to either:

Move their cat one square forward, backward, or sideways.
Place one wall on the board.

Cat Movement Rules

Cats are limited to moving only one square at a time in any cardinal direction (forward, backward, left, right).
Cats cannot jump over walls or move diagonally.
If an opponent's cat is adjacent to yours, you can jump over it.

Wall Placement Rules

Walls must be placed between two squares and cannot overlap existing walls.
Once a wall is placed, it remains fixed and cannot be moved.
Importantly, players must always have a path available to reach the opposite side, ensuring no complete blockades.
