The Way of the Heart is the formation itinerary of the Pope's World Prayer Network. This unique journey is designed to help us enter into a mission of compassion for the world. It is a spiritual path that guides us to tune into the Heart of Jesus, enabling us to develop a heart more similar to His and to reach out to our brothers and sisters.

More accurately, it is a journey that starts with the heart and then mobilizes your feet, hands, thoughts, intentions, actions, and your entire being. This is a renewed experience of the Apostleship of prayer that Pope Francis has been promoting in recent years, offering a new way of being and living. It is an alternative approach to living your faith, one that will help you awaken, become more attentive, and discover concrete ways to make a difference in your life.

Understanding The Way of the Heart

You might be wondering, "What exactly is The Way of the Heart, and how does prayer mobilize my life?" This journey aims to focus our lives on Jesus, fostering a deeper relationship of friendship with Him, much like the apostles experienced. It also prepares us to be more available for a mission of compassion towards our brothers and sisters. In essence, it is a journey with Jesus in Apostolic availability.

A Journey Approved by Pope Francis

This itinerary is outlined in a document approved by Pope Francis, which captures the fruits of four years of discernment at the international level of the Apostolate of Prayer. Today, it has been recreated as the Pope's World Prayer Network, giving a missionary dimension to this Apostolate.

Personal and Dynamic Journey

Your journey will be personal, filled with surprises, questions, prayers, contemplations, activities, commitments, challenges, and goals. There will be times of flat terrain and others with steep climbs, landscapes ranging from deserts to lush, abundant nature. While you may walk this path alone, you are not truly alone—the Pope's Global Prayer Network will be with you every step of the way. You will feel the support of all those united with the network, walking alongside Jesus.
