MixRemote is an application designed for Android devices that provides comprehensive remote control capabilities for the RCF M series of digital audio mixers. Through its built-in WiFi Access Point, the app enables seamless management of various parameters and functionalities directly from your Android device.

Key Features and Capabilities

MixRemote offers a user-friendly interface with a consistent layout, making it easy to navigate and control the mixer's features. The app supports complete recall of all parameters, referred to as "SHOW," allowing you to save and recall entire mixer settings effortlessly. Additionally, it provides a song-oriented recall system called "SNAPSHOT," which saves a subset of parameters for quick access during performances.

The app includes multiple multi-effects that can be applied to specific inputs, and these effects can be saved and recalled as "PATCHES." The MFX1 and MFX2 channels offer three series effects (modulation, delay, and special FX), while MFX3 and MFX4 provide five series effects (overdrive, modulation, delay, special FX, and amp/acoustic simulation). There are also three dedicated send (post-fader) busses for reverbs, delays, and assignable effects.

Additional Functionalities

Each physical input has a versatile Noise Gate and a flexible Compressor with two modes (Easy and Advanced). The 4-band Parametric EQ on each input can be set to Standard, Vintage, or Mmooth modes. The MIXER also features a 31-band Stereo Graphic EQ on the MAIN left and right outputs, complete with presets.

The app supports microphone preamps with digital remote control, switchable 48V phantom power, and phase inversion. It also accommodates line inputs with selectable sensitivity (-10 dBV / +4 dBu) and Hi-Z impedance mode. Two simultaneous amp simulations of guitar and bass amplifiers are available, licensed from OverloudTM, and models of MarkBassTM TTE-500 and Little Mark III amplifiers are included.

Connectivity and Control

All inputs can be linked into stereo pairs, and a dual footswitch with assignable functions is provided for controlling individual FX on/off, switching between MFX1, MFX2, MFX3, and MFX4 patches, navigating SNAPSHOTs, and controlling the player. The app includes a flexible stereo file player that supports auto-playback mode and handles various file formats such as WAV16, WAV24, AIFF, and MP3. It also supports 4-track mode using multitrack WAV files.

An internal metronome with flexible time signatures and accent/beat sample selection is available, along with an internal stereo recorder on a USB flash drive, complete with a dedicated trim and VU meter. The app includes utility functions for importing, exporting, copying, and swapping shows, snapshots, and patches. It also supports MIDI control of various parameters and offers 5-pin MIDI and USB-MIDI support.

Network and Control Options

The app supports up to five iPads simultaneously for collaborative control. A LAN port is available for connecting an external WiFi client or access point, and tethering USB is supported for wired connections. Users can select target IP addresses for the internal WiFi Access Point and tethering, providing flexibility in network configurations.
