The Azzahir Assembly was established by Habib Ali Zainal Abidin Assegaf in 2004. Originally, the assembly held regular readings of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday on Friday Kliwon evenings at Jalan Toba No. 53, Pekalongan, Central Java. Over time, these gatherings evolved to include not only religious readings but also studies on Islamic jurisprudence and moral teachings under the guidance of Al-Habib Muhammad Luthfi bin Yahya. Today, the Azzahir Assembly continues its legacy with regular meetings and maulid safaris across various locations in Central Java and beyond.
