Overview

One Page Solo Engine is a versatile application designed to facilitate solo tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) without the need for a Game Master (GM). It serves as your virtual GM, providing the necessary tools to craft engaging narratives and immersive experiences.

How It Works

Step 1: Choose Your System and Character

First, select your preferred game system, such as Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), FATE, Savage Worlds, or Pathfinder. Build your character according to the rules of your chosen system. One Page Solo Engine aids in framing the action and answering questions, allowing you to focus on the gameplay.

Step 2: Begin Your Adventure

Kick off your adventure by rolling a Random Event and setting the scene. Visualize the environment, your character’s objectives, and any opposition they face. This step sets the stage for your narrative.

Step 3: Engage with the Oracle

Interact with the Oracle to learn more about the unfolding events. Ask Yes/No questions or utilize Focus tables for more detailed responses. The Oracle acts as a guide, helping you navigate through the story.

Step 4: Play and Progress

Proceed with your game as usual, using the mechanics of your chosen system. Record your character’s actions using the Player Action button. When the action slows down, use Pacing Moves to reignite the story. Failure Moves can introduce unexpected twists when your character encounters setbacks.

Step 5: Generate Content

As needed, generate quests, NPCs, and dungeons using the Generator actions. The Generic Generator is particularly handy, offering ideas for a wide range of elements like magic items, spaceships, and evil organizations.

Step 6: Save and Share

Once you finish your session, export your story chain as an HTML or Plain Text file. Review your adventures in a web browser or share your stories with others online.
