Chakrika: An Application for Tracking EVM-Carrying Vehicles

Chakrika is an innovative application designed to track and monitor vehicles transporting Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) during elections. This solution is tailored to meet the specific needs of the Election Commission of India, ensuring that election duty officers are effectively monitored and managed.

The primary objective of Chakrika is to provide a robust and reliable system for tracking election duty officers using mobile GPS technology. This ensures that the Election Commission of India can maintain accurate records of the movement and whereabouts of EVM-carrying vehicles and personnel.

One of the key features of Chakrika is its ability to operate seamlessly in both online and offline modes. Once users log into the application, their location data is transmitted to a central server according to a predefined schedule. If the user is in an area with no internet connectivity, the location data is temporarily stored on the mobile device and automatically synchronized once the connection is re-established. This ensures continuous tracking even in remote areas where internet access may be limited.

Another important feature is the map view functionality. Users can view their current location on a map when they are connected to the internet. This real-time tracking capability allows for immediate updates and adjustments to ensure efficient management of election duties.
