Coordinate Formats

The application displays coordinates in a basic format using decimal degrees (DD). Additionally, you can choose from several auxiliary formats:

• Degrees, Minutes, Seconds (DMS)
• Degrees, Decimal Minutes (DDM)
• Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM)
• Military Grid Reference System (MGRS)

These options provide flexibility based on your preference or the requirements of the system you're using.

Data Management

• Export Options: Export your stored locations with coordinates and photos in popular formats such as KML, GPX, and PDF. These formats are widely used for geospatial data exchange.

• Backup & Restore: Backup your location data including photos, names, descriptions, notes, values, dates, coordinates, and groups into a zipped file named fandroid.zip. This backup can be easily shared with others. You can also restore your data from this file.

• Additional Information: Save extra details like titles, descriptions, notes, values, and groups along with your location data. Customize these settings within the application.

• Group Creation: Create groups to better organize your locations. This feature helps in categorizing and managing multiple locations efficiently.

• Sharing Capabilities: Share your location with coordinates and photos via email or other sharing methods. This is particularly useful for collaborating with others.

• Map View: View your stored locations on a map, either individually or by group. You can also see the location on Google Maps directly from the app.

• Distance and Area Measurement: Measure and store distances and areas on the map. This feature is helpful for land surveying and other applications requiring precise measurements.

Technical Details

All coordinates and related data are correlated to the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84). The accuracy of the GPS signal primarily depends on the quality of your GPS sensor and external weather conditions. Therefore, it is recommended to use this application outdoors for optimal results.

• Photo Stamping: Stamp your photos with location coordinates and the date they were taken. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the application settings.
