Introduction to NUM

NUM is an engaging reasoning game known as Master Mind or Hit & Blow. Inspired by the popular Japanese TV show "Numer0n," which aired from 2012 to 2013 on Fuji TV, this game offers a delightful experience for anyone who enjoys puzzles and logic games. With its simple yet captivating design, NUM is perfect for filling those short breaks in your day.

Game Types

NUM features four distinct modes, each offering a unique twist on the classic gameplay:

Single Play Mode

In Single Play Mode, you tackle a randomly generated three-digit number on your own. The goal is to guess the correct number within the fewest turns possible. This mode allows you to track your average clear time and turns, providing a clear picture of your progress over time. Additionally, you can share your game results on Twitter, challenging your friends to beat your scores.

Local Battle Mode

Local Battle Mode lets two players compete against each other using just one device. Players take turns guessing the number chosen by their opponent, with hints guiding them towards the correct answer. The player who correctly guesses the number first wins the round. This mode is particularly exciting when played with friends, as it combines strategy and social interaction.

Bluetooth Battle Mode

Currently under development, this mode will allow players to engage in battles over Bluetooth connections, adding another layer of convenience and competition.

COM Fighting Mode

Also currently under development, this mode will pit you against an AI opponent, providing a new challenge and ensuring endless entertainment.

Game Rules

In each round, a three-digit number is randomly selected. Players must combine the given digits to find the correct combination. The game provides feedback through two types of responses:

• HIT: Indicates that a digit is correct and in the right position.
• BLOW: Indicates that a digit is correct but in the wrong position.

For example:

• If the correct answer is 123:
  • 345 → 0 HIT - 1 BLOW (the number 3 matches)
  • 453 → 1 HIT - 0 BLOW (both the number and position of 3 match)
  • 253 → 1 HIT - 1 BLOW (the number 2 matches, and 3 matches in both number and position)
  • 123 → 3 HIT - 0 BLOW (all numbers match)
