Krakowski Szlak Kobiet: A Journey Through Women's History in Krakow

The application "Krakowski Szlak Kobiet" is a herstory-based guide to Krakow created by the Women's Space Foundation. This project has been ongoing since 2008 and encompasses educational and research activities aimed at reclaiming the forgotten history of Krakow's emancipated women for the collective memory of Krakow and Poland.

This application leads you through the city following the footsteps of notable women associated with Krakow. It offers five distinct paths for exploration:

• Path One: Discover over 150 significant locations across Krakow that are connected to our heroines. By clicking on each point, you can access detailed descriptions, links to people, events, and topics, and even related trails.

• Path Two: Dive into the lives of 100 women connected to Krakow. Their biographies are linked to specific places, events, and themes, providing a rich context for their contributions.

• Path Three: Explore 14 thematic areas where all related individuals, places, and events are grouped together, offering a comprehensive understanding of each topic.

• Path Four: Traverse four different routes that take you through the city, complete with route descriptions, lists of places, and related themes. You can directly navigate to the map with the marked trail from here.

• Path Five: Navigate through a calendar featuring 180 dates significant to the herstory of Krakow. Each date is illustrated with a calendar page containing links to heroines, places, and topics.

The Krakowski Szlak Kobiet app not only serves as an interactive guide but also complements other initiatives such as the "Guidebook for Emancipated Women in Krakow," personal calendars titled "History of Women" for the years 2012-2014, board games, city tours, workshops, seminars on women's history, meetings at the Reading Room for Women, and the blog Herstorie. This app is your key to unlocking the hidden stories of women who have shaped Krakow's history.
