Unlike traditional picture-sharing applications, ASIGN focuses on conveying essential information about WHAT, WHEN, and WHERE events occur during operations that follow the OBSERVE - DECIDE - ACT cycle.

Specifically tailored for use in bandwidth-constrained environments, such as satellite networks or limited radio networks, ASIGN Pro complements the ASIGN Server and PC applications. This means it cannot be used independently. The visual information provided by ASIGN Pro is crucial for situational awareness and decision-making in scenarios like crisis management, emergency response, disaster relief, security, surveillance, remote inspections, quality control, and interactions between decision-makers and observers.

ASIGN Pro's mission-critical photo and video communications represent a significant departure from conventional methods. It operates as a geo-referenced visual communication system, enabling users to direct network resources towards content pertinent to ongoing operations. This results in significantly faster communication—up to 100 times quicker than transmitting full-resolution images. Interactive communication from the receiving end allows users to pull specific regions of interest within a photo up to full quality as required for operational purposes.

To further optimize network usage, ASIGN Pro sends a small preview initially. Image analysts can then request additional details for relevant observations at a later time, if necessary. This approach saves substantial network capacity, thereby reducing costs and delays.

The application includes a variety of features such as geo-tagging, timers for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) modes or unattended operations, customizable assessment templates, and more.
