BuoyPro: Marine Buoy Weather

Get the latest marine weather buoy observations from NOAA, along with NOAA Marine Forecasts, NWS On-Shore weather, and more.

BuoyPro gives you access to weather observations from over 800 NOAA NDBC buoys, with quick access to your favorite buoy observations. At those buoy stations, see NOAA Marine Forecasts and warnings as well as on-shore weather closest to the buoy station. You can also access the Map view to quickly view observations at different buoy stations, or view one of many map overlays such as nautical charts, precipitation, & more.

BuoyPro is a great companion as a boating app or sailing app, and provides great insight into boating weather/sailing weather/fishing weather, and it's extremely privacy conscious.

Note: BuoyPro requires an internet connection. While the app provides data around the world, the best coverage is around the United States and US territories.

Detailed Features:
• Weather Observations - NOAA Buoy Observations / NOAA Buoy Reports for the following data points (the type of observations varies between stations, and may also vary throughout the day):
- Wind speed, wind gusts, and wind direction
- Air temperature & water temperature (a.k.a., sea temperature or ocean temperature)
- Dew point
- Pressure and tendency
- Wave height, direction, and periods
- Wave components of swell & wind waves
• Buoy Observation Trends - See how the marine weather datapoints are changing over time
• Widgets - See buoy observations on your home screen (*Premium)
• Favorites - Conveniently track observations at the buoy stations you care about most. With Premium, you also get a tab/sheet that shows buoy observations for all your favorites at once.
• Maps - Find buoy stations and view buoy observations on an interactive map, including NOAA, NCEP, & NASA overlays and radar/precipitation. Overlays are subject to change, but currently include base radar reflectivity, sea surface temperature, nautical charts, chlorophyll concentration, and more. (Some overlays require Premium)
• NOAA Marine Forecasts for most locations. (*Premium required for full forecasts, including a synopsis) [Some locations that are very remote or up rivers are not in marine forecast zones, and do not have marine forecasts]
• On-shore weather forecasts from the National Weather Service (with Apple Weather backup).
• Customize the home screen to change the order of the data, and put the items most relevant to you at the top. (*Premium)
• Dark Mode!
• Sun & Moon Times and position chart including rise, set, and civil dawn/dusk.
• Buoy Cams for a limited number of stations. (*Premium)
