Highlight is a way to focus on what matters. It is a simple way to be happier by not putting thought into things that worry us or make us feel uneasy, but focusing our energy in what makes us smile.

Highlight is a moment of introspection. A moment with oneself to discover what makes us happy.

There are a million things our brains process daily: People we meet, conversations, meetings, work, family, friends, pets, home... A big percentage of these things make us happy, for sure, but also some of them prompt different feelings in ourselves: Uneasiness, anger, anxiety, worry... And our brain choses to keep focusing on those that make us feel bad!

With Highlight and a simple routine every night we can fight against this: Just spend 3 minutes before you go to bed every night reminiscing about good things that happened to you, and pick that one that made you feel special, loved, happy... That hug with your significant other, this challenge at work you finally cracked, petting your cats in your couch while watching your favorite show, this book you are reading that makes you feel so excited... That will be your highlight for the day! Once you identify your highlight, write a small paragraph (a tweet, if you will) describing it, and upload a picture if it helps.

In no time, you'll have a colorful feed of moments that made you happy! And the next morning, you'll wake up focusing on what made you happy the day before.

Unlike other social apps, Highlight won't allow you to share these moments with others. These moments are for you, and for you only. Would you like to share it with others? Pick up the phone and call them. Text them, telling them they made you happy. Or better yet, arrange to meet them in person again!

Remember: Happiness is a state of mind.

Highlight is 100% free and 100% private. Your highlights are stored in your phone, nobody other than you will have access to them. If you change your phone or uninstall the app, your highlights will be lost (We are working on a backup functionality, hold tight!)
