The multilingual app for cancer education to aid early detection of Mouth, Cervical Lung, Bowel and Breast Cancer developed by ICF

The Indore Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust(ICF, a charitable trust registered under the Madhya Pradesh Public Trust Act, 1951, was settled on November 14th, 1989, by Ms Usha Devi Holkar, ex-ruler of Indore and her husband Mr Satish Chandra Malhotra, Chairman, Empire Industries, Mumbai. The highest decision-making body of the Foundation is the Board of Permanent Trustees, which is the legal owner of its movable and immovable assets. On the Board are eminent personalities of international repute.

Some of the significant objectives of our organization include public education; medical education; programmes in line with the National Cancer Control Programme/national perspective; setting up a state-of-the-art institute, the first of its kind in the world, focusing on the commonest cancers in adult Indian men, the head & neck cancers; work on preventive strategies, diagnostic programmes, and clinical & basic research; and offer palliative care to those beyond cure.

In June 1997, we had the opportunity to make an exclusive audio-visual presentation on the Institute to the then President of the Republic of India, the late Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma who is on record for lauding the work of our Institute. It was, indeed, a red-letter day for our nascent Institute.

All that we have achieved thus far, we owe to the synergy of the tireless efforts and collective wisdom of all those involved, our partners in progress. However, there is much that still needs to be done.
