Sum, Ergo: Reflection and Meditation is an app designed to enrich our experience of life.

Reflection and meditation are complimentary. Reflection is a tool for finding meaning, developing awareness, and discovering self-knowledge. Meditation is a tool to relax, reduce stress, sleep better, and find a moment of peace.

Reflections are carefully curated into bite-sized, two-minute sessions. These sessions are short enough to fit into even the busiest of schedules, while insightful enough to learn and grow from.

Looking for a longer engagement? The app auto-plays the next session hands-free, for a more narrative style experience. This allows you to listen for as long as you’d like.

Mindful meditation is free in Sum, Ergo. There are currently six categories of reflection with hundreds of individual sessions:

And while the details of each person's lives are different, we all reason about life and values through a small number of core concepts. The categories of reflection have been curated around some of these core concepts, and are designed to stimulate a deep, engaging, and playful thought-stream.

When discursive reasoning is applied to matter, it is the means for scientific knowledge. When discursive reasoning is applied to human experience, it is the means for self-knowledge. The idea is simple. Through reasoning about the nature of our life, we can build a stable, resilient, and abiding world view. One that we derive meaning and contentment from.
