Phone Vault is a unique iOS application that allows you to securely store sensitive information in one centralized place. Its intended audience is privacy-minded individuals who do not want to store sensitive information in the cloud. The app will store website passwords, manage two factor authenticator codes, save secure notes and stash away your important photos. But more importantly, the app allows you to securely access this information from other devices without requiring you to syncing your data with the cloud, like other password managers do. This way all your passwords and other secure content stays on your phone, while still allowing you to easily and securely share them across your devices when you need them.

The app can be used fully offline and only connects to the internet if you decide to share a password or a secure note to make it available on your other devices. This way your most secure data lives on your phone, but you can still easily access it like you can with other "cloud" password managers.

We have developed a companion website at https://phonevault.app that allows you to easily and securely view your passwords and notes on demand. Let's say you are logging into your favorite website and you need the password. All you have to do is open the app, connect to the website by scanning the QR code, find the password item in the app, tap on it and tap send. Your browser will display your password entry and then you can click the Copy Password button (we never show it in clear text) and voila! You can then paste it into the login form of the website where you are trying to log in.

We are currently working on extensions for the various major browsers that will allow you to streamline this process, so that it auto-fills the username and password into the websites, just like cloud based password managers do. Then you have the best of both worlds. Secured passwords that live on your phone, with the added convenience of a time-saving extension.

We are also working on allowing you to easily share your passwords with your family's mobile devices that are running this app.
