LuvYa is meant to be a tool to help you cope with emotions in the moment, and learn from those moments over time. Tracking your emotions in LuvYa is easy and meant to be something you do on a regular basis, but only for brief periods of time, because finding screen-time balance is important for emotional health.

Here’s how LuvYa works: When you experience a noteworthy emotion, you open LuvYa, log the emotion and its reason, and get a ‘LuvYa’ note in return as a supportive, inspirational pick-me-up. The app will then organize your emotion+reason entries in a journal, and provide you with simple emotion statistics over time so that you can make connections between the things that happen in your daily life and their effects on your overall emotional well-being. You can even access all your past LuvYa’s in your journal to give yourself an instant boost during your day, or to share with a friend or loved one who might need support. And, because we think everyone has wisdom to share, we also give you the option to submit your own LuvYa’s that may then be shared with the rest of the LuvYa community. The app will even let you know how many people have seen your LuvYa’s, plus the LuvYas' average ratings, so you can learn which of your sayings are most helpful.

Because personal privacy is important to us, and we know it’s important to you, your unique LuvYa user ID contains zero personal information. The format is '[your selected Gender]_[your age]_[random 10 digit code]'. You are anonymous beyond these two basic demographics. In addition, data collected by the app is securely stored on Apple CloudKit and is never shared with third parties. And, as we strive to refine and improve our app, LuvYa will continue to be open and transparent about how we use your data. Right now, the privacy policy on our website even lists every data field the app collects with a description of what the data field is used for.
