Distribution Mode

What is Test mode, distribution mode?

In order to meet the needs of different developers, the application on the PYGER platform is divided into two modes: beta mode, distribution mode. The main differences between the two models are:

  • Beta mode: After the App is uploaded, the default state is beta mode. The number of downloads of the App in the beta mode will be limited to a certain degree. The developer of the specific restriction policy can view it on the application management page.
  • Distribution mode: The App in distribution mode will not be downloaded for a limited time, but the App can be converted from beta mode to distribution mode after the developer submits an application to PGYER.

After applying for the distribution mode, the application is publicly installed by default, and users can scan the two-dimensional code to download and use directly, and the number of downloads is not limited.

Why apply for distribution mode?

The original intention of the PGYER platform was to provide developers with a beta platform for internal testing of apps. By default, the App uploaded by the developer will be automatically set to the beta mode, because the App in the beta mode has a certain download limit, so it is only applicable to the enterprise or team internal test, and only provides password installation and invitation installation two ways.

However, in order to meet the needs of some developers for a larger range of internal testing or grayscale testing, PGYER also supports the distribution mode, and the App in the distribution mode will have a larger or unlimited number of downloads. When developers need to convert the App from beta mode to distribution mode, they can perform application distribution operation in the PGYER application management page. When applying for distribution, developers need to further provide more information related to the App, qualification and other information, after submission, PGYER relevant staff will manually audit your application and data, after the audit is passed, the application installation mode will be automatically converted to distribution mode, at this time the App will support open installation and download times are not limited.

How to apply for distribution mode?

After PGYER has uploaded the app, go to the app Overview page and find the link to apply for distribution in the prompts above. Click the application distribution link to enter the application public distribution submission page.
