Description of CBP One App

The CBP One app is an authorized application designed to facilitate non-citizen entry into the United States. It serves as a single portal to various CBP (Customs and Border Protection) services, guiding users through a series of questions to direct them to the features they need.

Currently, the app offers two primary features, with additional functionalities planned for release over the next year. The first feature is the Inspection Appointment Request, which enables brokers, carriers, and forwarders to request inspections for perishable cargo entering the U.S. via their mobile devices. This feature includes real-time status updates for appointment requests and allows users to communicate directly with a CBP Agriculture Specialist if further information is required.

The second feature is the I-94 Application, which streamlines the process for travelers applying and paying for their I-94 up to seven days before arriving at a U.S. Port of Entry (POE). Users can also access a digital copy of their I-94 and view up to five years of travel history through the app. This feature mirrors the I-94 application process and information available on the official I-94 website (https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home).

In the coming year, the CBP One app will expand its offerings to include new features tailored to specific user groups such as Small Vessel Operators, Bus Operators, Aircraft Operators, Seaplane Pilots, commercial truck drivers, and Commercial Vessel Operators. While the I-94 feature is available nationwide, the perishable cargo inspection appointment feature is currently available only at participating Ports of Entry (POE).
