How It Works

To use Mobile Passport Control, follow these six easy steps:

1. Create Your Profile: Start by creating a traveler profile using your biographic information from your passport. You can create profiles for all eligible members in your family group, which will be securely stored on your device at no cost.

2. Select Your Details: Choose your method of travel, select your port of entry and terminal (if applicable), answer CBP inspection-related questions, certify the truthfulness and accuracy of your answers, and tap the "Submit Now" button upon arriving at your selected port of entry.

3. Capture Photos: Take a clear and unobstructed photo of each traveler (including yourself) that you added to your submission.

4. Receive Confirmation: Once your submission is processed, CBP will send a virtual receipt back to your device.

5. Proceed to the MPC Lane: Upon arrival, proceed to the MPC designated lane and be ready to present your passport and other relevant travel documents. Note that MPC does not replace your passport; it is still required to be presented to the CBP officer.

6. Final Inspection: The CBP officer will complete the inspection. If additional information is needed, the officer will inform you accordingly.
