Electronic Invoice FAQ

Common questions about Pgyer's electronic invoices: what they are, their legal standing, how they differ from paper invoices, and importing them into WeChat Card Package or Alipay Invoice Assistant.

Pgyer issues electronic invoices for account top-ups and purchases. Common questions are answered below.

What Is an Electronic Invoice?

An electronic invoice is a digitally stored payment receipt issued by Pgyer when you purchase a Pgyer product or service — typically a PDF file.

How Does an Electronic Invoice Differ From a Paper One?

  • Seal: signed and stamped via an electronic signature, which is unique, non-repudiable, and tamper-resistant.
  • Delivery: stored as a digital file and delivered over the network or mobile networks — no postal delivery required.

Electronic invoices are explicitly recognized as legal invoices under Announcement No. 84 of the State Taxation Administration (2015); their legal force, basic purpose, and use are equivalent to paper VAT invoices supervised by the tax authorities.

Printing Requirements?

  • You can print on any paper, color or black-and-white — the printout has the same legal force as a paper invoice.
  • The same electronic invoice can be printed multiple times and used separately as the invoice copy, bookkeeping copy, and so on.
  • Printouts can be submitted for reimbursement or bookkeeping directly; there's no need to apply for a paper invoice.

What Makes Electronic Invoices Convenient?

  • Fast issuance: typically under an hour from application to issued invoice.
  • Always accessible: sign in to the Pgyer dashboard to search and download invoices with electronic signatures.
  • Verifiable: supports online verification, reducing the risk of accepting fake invoices.

How Do I Import an Electronic Invoice Into WeChat Card Package or Alipay Invoice Assistant?

  1. Go to Account Settings → Invoices and find the invoice you want.
  2. Hover over the QR code icon in the Actions column to show the QR code, then scan it with WeChat or Alipay.

If a single order includes multiple invoices, click into the invoice detail page and hover over the QR code icon at the bottom to scan.
