IP & Special Apps
IP-compliance requirements on Pgyer, expected developer behavior, and additional considerations for special app types such as livestreaming, wellness, blind boxes, phone tracking, and AI-generated content.
Make sure the app and its content are fully owned or properly licensed and do not infringe others' IP or other lawful rights. Developers play a key role in publishing and operations; violations may lead to takedown, account ban, and legal liability.
Intellectual Property
- To use copyrighted content owned by others, obtain authorization in advance.
- Without authorization, the app must not be a cracked or localized version of another party's copyrighted content.
- Without statutory fair use, do not use trademarks identical or similar to others' without authorization — this may constitute trademark infringement or unfair competition.
- Do not engage in confusing conduct that misleads users into believing the app comes from or is affiliated with someone else (such as using the same or similar look, name, or theme as another developer's app).
- The app must not sell or promote counterfeit goods.
- Do not infringe others' lawful rights (including portrait and reputation rights), and do not directly or indirectly participate in infringement by inciting, inducing, or facilitating it.
If you find an app or content on Pgyer infringing your lawful rights, file a complaint via the process in Appeals & FAQ.
Developer Conduct
- The developer must ensure all information provided to Pgyer is true, accurate, and complete (company name, personal information, identity information, contact phone, email, etc.), and update it promptly when it changes.
- Non-government entities must not submit apps involving government affairs (e.g., reporting suspected criminal activity, publishing public-health incident notices) unless fully authorized by an official government body.
- Apps that have ceased operation or whose experience has degraded may be taken down. Developers must promptly notify users and guardians of child users about the shutdown, stop collecting personal information per applicable law, and properly handle held personal information.
In case of violations, Pgyer reserves the right to take down the app and ban the account. The developer is liable for any resulting legal responsibility and all losses to Pgyer. Where unlawful content involves harming minors or fraud, the matter will also be reported to the authorities.
Special App Types
In addition to the general requirements, the following types must pay particular attention to the items below.
Livestream, Dating, Companion-Play, Chat
- App information must not contain vulgar wording such as "lonely" or "hookup".
- Do not use private message, chat, voice, or video to harass users, induce payments, or engage in adult-content behavior.
- The app must not use in-game points to bet on outcomes or run guessing games; no points trading, cash/goods conversion, or peer-to-peer gifting/transfers.
- The corresponding modules must provide a reporting feature.
- When opening livestream rooms, voice chat rooms, or onboarding hosts/companion-play "experts", verify identity and provide real-name authentication.
Wellness Services (massage, SPA, foot bath, etc.)
- App information and content must not contain vulgar, sexually suggestive, pornographic, or borderline content.
- No features for users to contact technicians directly (online chat, technician comments, phone calls, displayed contacts); only merchant-to-user communication is allowed.

Game-Account Trading/Rental, Game Boosting
- Real-name authentication is mandatory, for both sides of the trade or order.
- Restrictions on minors must be displayed and enforced on the product page or order/auth page.
Blind Boxes
- Prominently disclose, on the home page, product page, and payment page: whether top-up balance refunds are supported, conditions for free shipping, item-recycling ratios, item-draw probabilities, and the warning "Item draws are probabilistic — please pay with caution".
- Friendship blind boxes, live-animal blind boxes, cash blind boxes, and financial-business blind boxes are not currently listed.
Phone Tracking
- Prominently inform users on the home page, friend-add page, or payment page that both sides must install or pay for tracking to work.
- Locating another person's position requires their explicit consent (verification request, code, etc.).
- If the main feature requires upfront payment to activate, a real, working free trial must be provided (no virtual or buried trials).
- Registration must not be "any digits / any account name / any phone number + password".
Data Recovery
- Actual functionality must match the marketing claims — no fake features.
- Clearly disclose, in the description and payment screen, the scope and scenarios of data that can be recovered.
- The app must offer complaint and refund features.
