App Review Guide

Review Overview

Pgyer's overall app review requirements, scope, and the red-line list and pre-upload self-check that most often trigger rejection.

Pgyer provides beta distribution services for developers while safeguarding system security and users' lawful rights. Read this review guide before uploading and make sure your app complies with the applicable laws, regulations, and the requirements below. The guide applies to APK (Android) and IPA (iOS) installers, and is updated periodically as laws, industry norms, and social values evolve.

Red-Line List

Anything below is an automatic rejection — apps containing it will be removed and the account may be banned:

  1. Anti-government, anti-social, or attacks on national leaders, or other politically sensitive content.
  2. Pornography, violence, terror, gore, gambling, lottery, or other unlawful content.
  3. Cash-currency gambling, card/mahjong games (including room-card and arcade-fishing variants), illegal finance (P2P, illegal fund-raising, virtual currency / ICO, FX margin trading, etc.).
  4. Piracy, cracks, unauthorized localizations, or counterfeiting another party's trademark, look, or name.
  5. VPN circumvention or unauthorized access to overseas internet sites.
  6. Viruses, trojans, remote control, hidden charges, fraud, or theft of user data.
  7. Prohibited functions such as aiding illegal voyeurism, surrogacy consultation, sex selection, or end-to-end self-destructing messages.
  8. Apps in regulated industries (finance, medical, gaming, news, audio-visual, education, etc.) lacking the required qualifications. See App Qualifications.
  9. Harming the physical or mental health of minors, or unlawfully collecting minors' personal information.
  10. Violating privacy laws such as the Personal Information Protection Law — covertly collecting, over-collecting, or selling user personal information.

Pre-Upload Self-Check

These are the issues that most often delay review. Confirm each before you upload:

  1. App information (name, icon, screenshots, description) is complete and matches the app's actual functionality.
  2. The app complies with privacy regulations and behaves as users would expect.
  3. Contact information is real and reachable so reviewers can contact you at any time.
  4. A working test account and login credentials are provided; if special hardware or environments are required, note that in the comments.
  5. The app remains usable throughout the review.
  6. Apps in regulated industries have all required qualification documents ready.

The following chapters cover the full requirements. For frequently asked questions and the appeal process, see Appeals & FAQ.
