Grouping and Merging Apps
Folders and App Merge — two ways to distribute multiple apps or cross-platform versions through a single entry point.
Pgyer offers two aggregation options: Folders and App Merge. Both let you distribute multiple apps, or multiple platform versions of the same app, behind a single entry point.
Comparing the Two
| Method | What's Aggregated | Download Page Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Folder | Any number of apps in your account | Shows every app in the group; users pick what to download |
| App Merge | The iOS and Android versions of the same app | Automatically shows the matching platform based on the visitor's device |
Folders
A folder bundles multiple apps into a single group with one download URL and QR code. Visitors to the download page can see and download any app in the folder.
Steps:
- In the app management center, click Apps → Folders in the top menu;
- On the folder page, click New Folder;
- Enter a name and description, pick the apps to include, and click Create;
- Afterwards you can view, edit, or delete the folder;
- Click the folder name to open the combined download page.
App Merge
App Merge combines the iOS and Android versions of a single app. After merging, whichever download URL or QR code a user opens, the page serves the installer that matches their device.
Steps:
- On the app management page, click App Merge;
- Pick the apps already uploaded to Pgyer and merge them;
- Open either app's detail page and scan the QR code — the right platform version is served automatically.
Android apps can also be merged with an App Store listing. The behavior is the same; see Merging an Android app with an App Store app.
