App Validity and Download Availability
Understand the retirement of automatic app expiration and renewal, and how download windows, certificates, and build retention differ.
Pgyer has retired the legacy platform expiration and manual renewal requirement. Normally hosted apps no longer stop distributing because of the old app expiration date, and periodic renewal is no longer required. This applies to both the website and API.
Latest and Historical Builds
The system's latest build receives ongoing hosting. Publishing a newer build makes the previous latest build historical and subject to account storage and historical-build cleanup rules. Retiring renewal does not mean all historical installers are stored forever, and it does not restore deleted builds.
Conditions That Still Affect Downloads and Installation

An unrestricted download date setting means no download window was configured. It is not a promise to store every historical installer permanently.
Legacy Client Compatibility
Legacy renewal endpoints remain compatible and retain authentication, app validation, and permission checks. Valid requests can succeed, but they no longer extend old dates or change account capacity or historical-build cleanup rules. New integrations do not need to call renewal endpoints.
If an old page or client still displays “App expired” or asks for renewal, refresh the page or update the client and check the actual restrictions above. Hosting, certificate validity, and plan benefits have separate rules.
